Sebby Wilson Jacobson
Sebby Wilson Jacobson is a freelance writer, editor and journalist. She worked at the Democrat and Chronicle for 25 years, most recently as Investigations Editor, directing projects that probed such issues as criminal justice, workplace discrimination, environmental pollution and the troubled Rochester School District. Sebby has a B.A. in English from Skidmore College and a M.A. in English from SUNY Brockport. She has served on the boards of the Society for the Protection and Care of Children, Visual Studies Workshop and the Carlson MetroCenter YMCA. A longtime Rochester resident, she savors the city’s rich diversity of people and natural and cultural resources, and its inspiring tradition of fighting for human rights. She has two adult daughters; one lives in Rochester, the other in London, England, with her husband and their 3-year-old daughter.
