Service Fellowship
“Nonviolence is not a garment to be put on and off at will, its seat is in the heart,
and it must be an inseparable part of our being.” - M.K. Gandhi
The Gandhi Service Fellowship began in 2009 as a program of the M.K. Gandhi Institute. Service Fellows design and coordinate their own community project while receiving instruction in the principles and practices of nonviolence. Projects have included:
- Alternative spring breaks
- Nonviolence education programs
- Interfaith banquets
- Social justice forums
- Promotion of sustainability.
